Sorry - it has been a while...

Life has gotten the better of me lately, and I have not MADE the time to post - I have HAD the time but have chosen other ways to spend that time.. See, I am trying to change how I look at time; of course I HAD the time, or I could have MADE the time, but I chose other activities.. oops..

I am officially three months into this journey.  My scale has not moved in a few weeks, but that's okay.. I know this is not a sprint.. it's a marathon, and I am in it for the long haul.  My body has been at this size for quite a while, so it makes sense to me that a loss of 15lbs could be where my body thinks it should be.  I disagree with my body, but that's okay - I will get the upper hand.

I am still in my smaller size jeans, and I had to return a shirt the other day because it was way too big and boxy on me.  I am able to run three miles, and actually RUN most of that, rather than go out for 3 miles but really walk probably 2.25 miles of that.  I feel amazing, my hair and nails are growing like crazy, and knock on wood, but with all the crud going around, I have gotten 2 tiny colds this winter, each of which lasted like 2 or 3 days.

I mentioned a while back that I would do a product review every now and then, so today's review is for the BIOCLEANSE.  The label says it oxygenates your body and helps rid it of toxins.   I'll be honest.. this whole "oxygenate your body" business sounded fishy to me.. I mean, I know how to breathe, and isn't that getting oxygen into my body?  I started with the BC because of that dang candida yeast business.. the PrBio is killing it off, but it needs to get OUT, you know what I mean?  And the BC is very effective at doing that.. We will leave that discussion there...

So, clearly my bathroom habits are NOT why I wanted to write about the BC.. going back to my running revelations of late.. running has gotten easier.  Like, way easier.  Not that I am going to win any land speed races or sign up for marathons or anything, but I am not getting totally winded when I run.  Not any more, at least.

And then it dawned on me what 'oxygenating your body' really means.. I believe I am not winded and dying out there because my muscles and cells are able to USE what I give them through my breathing.  As a complete aside, I also find I don't yawn nearly as much as I used to!!

I have also been reading up on the other benefits of keeping one's body in a well oxygenated state.. and these include cancer fighting abilities, as those cells thrive in an environment where oxygen is deprived.  I'm not saying BC will allow you to avoid getting cancer some day, but I feel so good using it that I will stay on it, and if that cancer thing is a side benefit, well, then that's an amazing side effect!

One last word - I have had a few friends come to me, concerned because Plexus and their products are not FDA approved.  The FDA does not get into the business of supplements.  They never have.. hopefully they never will.

Why do I say that?  Well, the FDA DID approve of Phen-fen, right? They approved the Dalcon Shield, Actos, Yasmin, thalidomide, and countless others, which have ended up causing grievous harm to those who took the meds.. So while I am thankful the FDA exists to protect us, their stamp of approval is clearly no guarantee that something is safe.

Why some folks drop weight like a hot stone, but that's not happening to me...

Thanks to the person who originally posted this. Great info!  I'd love to say I found it, but I'm happy to be able to share it!!

Co-developer of Plexus Slim (The Pink Drink) speaks about how weight loss is different for everyone and how Plexus Slim re-educates the body to change your BMI:
David Brown says...

• Our products work with the body to re-educate the body. To teach it to start burning again the excess fat stores.

• Slim is designed to help your body get to a healthy BMI (body mass index – the % of body fat). Once you hit that BMI, it doesn’t burn tissue. It doesn’t make you lose weight you don’t need to lose. It’ll help you maintain and keep you at a healthy BMI.

• The reason people lose at different rates: If you’ve been carrying around extra weight since since your youth, your body thinks 40% BMI is a natural healthy state. It takes our product awhile to re-educate the body to say “No, that’s not a healthy body weight.” It’s what your body has become accustomed to – if it’s been at that BMI awhile, it’ll take time to re-educate.

• There are three types of weight gain:
1) Genetic
2) Stage or plateau which is when you get older and gain, then gain more a few years later, etc.
3) Event – like a pregnancy or medication.

Of these 3 types of weight gain, usually the “event” weight will come off easier. Plateau and genetic weight gain will usually have plateaus as you come down in losing. Be patient, our products work with the body to re-educate the body. To teach it to start burning again the excess fat stores. Some of our bodies are “slow learners” and everyone’s biochemistry/physiology is different. No two people will react the same when you introduce a supplement to the body.

Plexus Product Overview... Let's start at the beginning..

The SLIM drink!!

Also known as the Pink Drink.. But don't let the color fool you, this works just as well for men as it does for women.. and no, men, all parts of your anatomy will stay firmly attached even if you drink something pink, I promise!!

There are lots of documents you can find about WHAT is in it and HOW it works, so I am not going to go into the specifics on that, except to say that it was originally developed to help people with Type 2 diabetes regulate their blood sugar levels.

What the researchers found was that not only were the study participants keeping overall better control over their blood sugars, they were reporting lower cholesterol levels, better blood pressure numbers, and they were loosing weight.

A return to the drawing board, and a change of focus led the developers to the Plexus line, and the rest is history!

So here are MY anecdotes from using this drink for nearly 3 months now..   And disclaimer - YES, I am using the Fab-5, and my results may come from another product or from the combination, and yes, your experiences may vary because we are not widgets and not all built the same...

  • I started losing weight almost immediately, and more importantly, I started loosing inches around my middle.  I had no idea just how truly bloated I was nearly every day..

  • My daily battle with heartburn was done within about three days.  Had I gone to the doctor about my need for daily Rolaids and Prilosec, I am sure I would have been diagnosed with something and given something ELSE to take, but truly after just a few days, I felt much better, and I have taken NONE of the Prilosec since, and needed my Tums/Rolaids twice.

  • My daily headaches are gone.  Yes, I would have a headache every single morning when I woke up.  Bad enough to make me feel gross.  Bad enough that I would pop Advil before anything else. That is gone...

  • I have energy to make it through the day.. and that's a good thing since most of my days last at least 12 hours from leaving home to returning home... But it is a sustained energy, not like some unnatural boost you'd get from a 5-hour energy drink or anything.  I don't feel jittery, hyper, or anything like that.  I just don't need a nap!!
  • My hip no longer hurts... meaning I can walk and run pain free!  Been three years since I could say that!  And my hip stopped hurting around the 6-lbs down mark.. so I don't think it was from weighing less.. it was from the natural anti-inflamatories in the Pink Drink!
  • My moods are better.. I have noticed that I am generally in a more positive frame of mind than I was before..  The little things don't bog me down as much, and I have more patience, which is a good thing!!
  • My mother started using it for energy, NOT for weight loss.. Anyone who knows her knows she is build like a New York Minute, and while she has lost about 2 pounds, that is ALL she has lost!  She has also GAINED energy, pain relief, and at her last dr visit, her blood pressure was 112/82... down from 125/87...

So what is it LIKE?

Have you ever had a red Tootsie-Pop?  It tastes a little bit like that.  It is sweetened with Stevia, and the color comes from the natural Beet Root in it (not from red-dye 40 or anything).  I drink it cold, but lately have been warming it up.. NOT HOT - anything over 120* will affect the way the enzymes and other ingredients work together (basic chemistry there...) but if I warm it, it is more like a fruit tea, and I like something warm in the morning.

Just mix with water (ok, "mix" is a misnomer.. put it in a bottle or shaker cup and shake the crap out of it.. sometimes it does not want to mix easily!) and enjoy.. the amount of water can vary depending on your tastes.  I use about 12oz..

Curious???  Well, then I suggest your try it!!  You just might like it!!  Plexus Slim

10 week check up..

Ok, let's look at the stats..

As of today, I am down 16.6 pounds, and just over 24 inches. (24.13 to be exact).  I have zero allergy symptoms, have had one headache in the last 10 weeks (I was a daily advil user). I have needed zero Tums or Zantac. I have not had a soda in all those weeks, and gave up coffee about 7 weeks ago, and I don't miss it, nor do I need it.

I have needed to get two new sizes of jeans, and have had to get rid of a few shirts because they look ridiculously big on me.

I walk right by the cookie tray at staff meetings, go back for seconds on salad because I want to, not because I think it's the right choice.. Chocolate still tastes fantastic, but I have gotten past the "I MUST HAVE IT NOW" feeling.

I have started using more of their products, and I thought I would take some time highlighting them one by one, for those of you who might be curious.. Stay tuned...

And if you are interested in learning more, or in joining me in my quest to get healthy and get into a smaller size pair of jeans, click the link, or message me!

Why I joined Plexus

The Reasons I joined Plexus:

1          I knew I was going to use these products for at least 3 months, and I am cheap.. I wanted to get then at Wholesale prices.  This was made easy by #2...

2          The up front investment would need to be minimal. ($34.95 membership fee and welcome pack.  Total would be $150.00 - $250.00.)

3         I DO NOT want to keep inventory to sell myself. (I could if I wanted to sell wholesale to retail. EVERYTHING IS DONE ONLINE, including taxes and Customer Service issues. Plexus offers each Ambassador a replicated website that handles everything.)

4          I DO NOT want to host parties or events. (I can if I want to, but right now my life is too busy)

5          I DO NOT want a quota where the company pressures me to sell and I don’t want to pressure other friends to sell. But I am thrilled to help my friends get healthy.. the comments from those who are using the products make me giddy with delight because people are FEELING so much better!

6        I did not want a long-term commitment. ($34.95 buys you a 1-year membership fee to Plexus)

****

There is no quota. You start earning commissions on sales that are $100.00 in product value (PV). My own purchase counts toward my product value. If I have more than one customer that $100.00 PV is met, and I am earning money. If you don’t sell that $100.00 a month, then my own product ships to me at wholesale.  At anytime I want to stop Plexus, I can. I just turn off my auto-qualification. I have total control of what is being shipped to me.

8 weeks in, and still LOVING my Plexus!!

Yes, I got frustrated because I wasn't seeing success with the scale.  Yes, it HAS been ONLY 8 weeks, but I see posts from other that talk about the amazing success, dropping pounds like hot rocks, and that hasn't been me.

Then I measured.  I am down 20 inches!! 20!!  That's nearly 2 square feet of me, gone!  I still want to see the scale showing some losses as well, but I put a shirt on the other day, one that I wore in the fall, and I had to take it right off because it was ridiculously big on me.  Like, didn't look as though it may have been Steve's, just looked clownish big.

Then the scale started moving again.. I've dropped into another decade, and that makes me smile.

Then there was this....

Yes - that is 13 pounds down, over 20 inches gone, my % body fat is down 5.5% and my BMI is down as well.. All great things!  And - it took 8 weeks.  I am so excited to see what the next 8 weeks will bring!

Then.. there is this too....

Please look at the time on that first split.. 9 minutes!!  Holy buckets of water!! I love that I have the energy to actually GO DO THIS!  4 miles!!???  Okay, as the poster says, I may run like a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter, but then again.. I was happy to consistently RUN a 12-minute mile a few years ago, and now I have splits that are 9 minutes??

Oh, and this is the time of year I should be bogged down with allergies, taking OTC oral meds, and RX nasal sprays, and Sudafed.  And this year? I'm taking nothing.  In years' past, I would have a doozey of a sinus infection by now.  Sure, I sneeze every now and then, but I feel GOOD.

And I think I can attribute how I feel to the Fab Five... I am seriously loving my Plexus routine!! Care to join me??  You've got nothing to loose but inches.. and you have so, so very much to gain!!

Just when I was starting to get frustrated...

The scale and I have not been friends lately.  Over the last 2 or 3 weeks, I feel like I keep gaining and losing the same flipping pound.. gone one day, back the next.  It didn't make any sense; I am doing what I need to do, taking my Slim, walking, etc.. and the scale won't budge.

My other friends who are doing Plexus say to be patient.
It's working, just give it time...
Remember it is about being healthy, not just losing weight...

All valid points, but when I hope to see a change in that damn number, it is frustrating as all hell!

So, there was a little movement yesterday and today, and by little, I mean 1/2 a pound.. but I will take it!

Then, I got out the measuring tape... HOLY CRAP!!!

In my first 4 weeks on Plexus, I dropped 7.5 inches.  Pretty cool, right???

IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS I HAVE DROPPED ANOTHER 7.5 INCHES!!!  So, the scale isn't moving, but I'm not crazy to think my clothes are getting looser, because they are!!!

So, in nearly 6 weeks, I am down 10 pounds (Im taking that last 1/2 pound and claiming it, Damnit!) and 15 inches!!!  My conclusion for why the scale isn't showing the same progress is because I am out there, power-walking and running, and I think Plexus has made it easier for me to build muscle.

And best part?  I feel good... I mean I feel really good!!  I have energy, my overall outlook on life is good (I've never suffered with depression, per se, but I can say there have been times then life looks grey.. lately, it is all looking good!) And what I used to take of OTC meds?  Now I take nothing.

Before, my daily OTC regimen went something like this - 2 Advil first thing in the morning to combat the headache I would wake up with... probably 2 more later in the afternoon, 1 allergy med, at least 1 Prilosec or Zantac,  Tums at some point after dinner, Sudafed to clear my sinuses so I can breathe at night.

Now??  Nuthin!! I don't need any of it.  Occasionally I sleep funny, and will take an Advil, but truly, that was an EVERY DAY thing - and not any more.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this line of products..

This is HUGE!!!

I just got back from a run..

Go back and re-read that sentence.. I just got back from a RUN..

A little background (or a lot... whatever..) There was a time, not all that long ago, when I used to get up 4 or 5 mornings a week, and run.  Or jog.  Or wog.  Or woggle.. whatever.. I laced up my shoes and plugged in my music and hit the pavement for anywhere between 2.5 and 3.5 miles.  This was back in the good old days when my school started at 8:45 and I didn't have to get up in the middle of the night to get in a run and still make it to school.

Then they changed my start time.

Then I hurt myself.  I was working on increasing my speed one day and I felt this pain.. literally in my ass.. the chiropractor said it was the preformus muscle, and I just needed to rest it, massage it, and give it time.. Well, have you ever tried to massage your own ass? Sorry, but that's practically impossible, so I did the other two - rest, time, and stretching.  Nothing helped.  It got bad enough at one point that just walking hurt.  Then my hip started acting up too - which is from a slight but determined case of scoliosis I have.

So my running days were over. Made me sad, because I really loved that time with just me, my music and the sidewalk/street!!

I was happy to be able to walk without pain. So I've been adding some walking - trying to get 2-3 miles in at a shot.  And it's been going well so far.

Today, I just feel GOOD.  Hit the street with my water in one hand, my tunes in the other, and the urge to start trying a little running took over.. and it felt GREAT!  No pain. NONE....

Now, I know better than to go all weekend-warrior, so I alternated walking and jogging.. nothing fast, nothing too hard.. but just the same - I CAN RUN AGAIN WITHOUT ANY PAIN!!!!

I have heard a number of people online who are saying they refuse to exercise because they want to see what this PLEXUS stuff can do all on its own, and part of me gets that, but the other, wiser (I'd like to think) part of me knows this is NOT just about the scale, or the size of my jeans.. this is about getting healthy. Staying healthy.. and that means making sure my heart is healthy, my lungs are healthy, my bones stay strong while I enter this stage of life (Middle age - good lord, say it ain't so!!)

And while I will admittedly express frustration that the scale has not budged in 2 weeks, I can also say that I AM getting healthier from the inside out - and that's fantastic!!!  It is NOT all about weight loss - it's about health!!

4 weeks in, and I can really see a difference!!

What I see in the mirror seems even greater than the overall numbers would suggest - I am down 8.5 pounds (some came back and seem to have decided to stick around a bit, but I am sure they will go away eventually..)  I am down nearly 10 inches, and a full pants size, but THIS - this picture is really worth 1000 words!!

It was a VERY good Plexus day!

Today marks 4 weeks on Plexus.. and today was a VERY good Plexus day!!!

1) The scale started moving again.. and that made me smile!
2) A co-worker asked me if I was losing weight.... woot woot!
3) My new jeans have been washed (always the killer of a good fit in jeans) and they are actually a bit loose...
4) My son's teacher has noticed that he is doing a lot more work in class, showing improved concentration and focus (He is using the ProBio 5 and it seems to be working!!!)

If you are interested in seeing what Plexus can do for you, know they have a 60 day money back guarantee... so you have nothing to lose, except inches!!

It's a marathon, not a sprint.. right?

I need to remind myself of this.. because I had some really amazing days a little bit back where I was literally dropping 1/2 a pound a day!!  Well, those days have gone, and the scale is stuck, but the inches are still falling away, and I had go buy a new pair of jeans!! (I didn't go crazy, as I am not expecting to stay in these for too long - either I will need a smaller size soon, or summer will be here..)

Another thing I have noticed with this journey is that I swear my allergies are better! We don't have a dormant season here in Arizona, and there is always something blooming, especially now.  Flowers, trees and grasses have always caused all kinds of hell with me as I think I am allergic to everything that grows here.  I still wake up and feel a bit snotty (sorry, TMI) but that's it!! My eyes are not itching like they normally do, and I don't feel like I have a perpetual cold like I normally do (I had one doozy of a real cold a few weeks back, but normally I feel like that ALL winter).

So, my list of benefits thus far - down around 8.5 lbs, down 9.5 inches, no more heartburn, no more acidy stomach, more energy, more focus, sleeping better at night, waking up feeling good each morning, and now fewer allergy symptoms.  Tuesday marks 4 weeks.. Yeah, I don't think I will be taking them up on their 60-day money back guarantee!!

Some NSVs...

For those not indoctrinated, that stands for Non Scale Victories..

Not yet three weeks into Plexus and I have noticed the following...

  • My rings are looser.  In fact, my wedding ring is rolling around on my finger.  Not all the time, but often..
  • I have two pairs of jeans that are ridiculously big on me now.  One, I can get off and on without unbuttoning, and the other won't even stay up if I walk around.
  • I am waking up before my alarm clock strikes with enough energy to just GET UP.. not convince myself to be an adult and get out of bed.
  • I have this one zip-up sweatshirt that I love from Old Navy, because it has the plug in for my phone and I don't need headphones because they are build in.. it was all tight around my arms and I stopped wearing it.  Well, I can wear it again!
  • I have this pair of shoes that I think are adorable - little patten leather penny loafers.  They have been way too tight for me to wear them without getting blisters.  Today, I put them on for giggles - and they fit!!
I am ROCKING the Pink Drink.. So excited to see where this takes me!!

Wanna come along too?? You can be rocking your own Pink Drink by clicking here.. --> Plexus Slim

Week 2 round up

Today marks the end of week #2.  Officially down 9 pounds.  NINE... NINE?!!??!!  I am thrilled at the progress and I am feeling really good! Hips are down 2", bust is down 2", waist stalled at 1", but I will take it.  Won't measure the rest for a while though.  I actually look forward to waking up and getting on the scale every day (yes, I may be a little obsessive.  I've never heard THAT before.. )  My jeans feel better, my clothes feel better, and I feel better!!

I have had a cold since last week.  My dear, sweet, generous 8yr old brought it home from school and shared with me. That was nice of him, wasn't it?? Well, the good thing, and I think I have Plexus to thank for this, was that I had the symptoms - the stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, raspy voice - but I didn't FEEL SICK.  I didn't feel worn out. I never felt like I was walking through mud, like I so often do when I have a cold.  I know this stuff is loaded with vitamins and other good things my body wants, and needs, and it seems to make a difference!

Another "WOW" moment.. I have put this very same 8yr old on the ProBio.  He gets 1 pill a day, in yogurt, and has gotten them for 4 days now.  This kiddo has had an issue with finishing his work on time during the school day.  I have heard the same thing from every one of his teachers, from Pre-K till now.  He does not use his time wisely, he gets distracted, he needs to focus.. I'm sure many of you have heard the same drill from teachers.  Today, I asked him what his homework was for tonight.  He said the only think he had to do was reading, and he had already finished that! I asked him why he had no homework - was there a sub today??  No, he said.  He got it finished in school.  HUH??  I asked him what was different today - he said he thought there were fewer distractions in the classroom.  I said, really, today there were fewer distractions, or you were less distracted?  He agreed he was probably less distracted, and thought that ProBio was helping him stay focused.  WOOHOO!

One last thing I love about Plexus..  I know that, in order to really get in shape, I need to exercise.  But I work full time, and I tutor every single afternoon, and I have a family to care for, dinner to cook, etc.. Rarely do I have the energy when I get home to go out for a walk.  With Plexus in my life, I am NOT too tired, and tonight I enjoyed a fantastic 2.5 mile brisk walk at sunset, and let me tell you, the skies here in Arizona are unmatched when it comes to sunsets.. and MAN, am I happy I had the energy to get out and see that!

Lucky number 7

The scale had stalled for a few days.  I was honestly frustrated because I was getting used to, and excited by, the scale moving even a little bit daily.  Well, it started moving again today!!  I am down 7 pounds and over 8.5 inches all over, and that's fabulous! I have lost 2 inches from my waist, 2 from my bust, and 2.5 from my hips! The rest is from limbs - legs, shins, arms..

I feel good, too - other than a nasty rotten cold that my youngest shared with me.  But even that.. I'm not at 100% by any means, but I'm not down for the count, either. Usually with a cold, I can't sleep.  Well, this time, falling asleep hasn't been easy, but staying asleep hasn't been an issue!  I started logging my food, to make sure my calorie intake was on track, and I'm finding that I feel perfectly fine with a much lower calorie intake than ever before.  I always had a hard time staying within my Points when I did WeightWatchers, and in order to stay below the threshold with other programs, I depended on the "extra" I'd get from exercise, but now, I am actually finding I need to eat a little MORE to meet the intake goal.  I am perfectly satisfied with one bite of a cookie, not the whole thing! And I am shocked at myself, but I don't miss soda!! AT.. ALL...

And here's a cool side note.. I have been giving the Slim product to my son who is a Type 1 Diabetic. The product was originally created for Type 2s to help them maintain blood sugar control.  I figured if it could help my Carb-Addict with his cravings, then I'd be delighted (the poor kid gravitates to anything that will raise his sugar levels).  It's been going fine, and really, unless there is an issue with the pump, his numbers have not skyrocketed like they normally would..

But yesterday was the kicker.. he ate a package of pop tarts.  74 carbs of pure, refined sugariness.  He forgot to cover for it.  This usually means blood sugar readings that are off the charts, hours of trying to get him back in range, throwing enough insulin into the kid to stop a train... well, see for yourself - this is his CGM about 4 hours after he ate the dreaded pop tart.  NO SPIKE... none at all. I have no words, just - WOW...

Now, I'm clearly not a doctor, nor am I a nutritionist.. I'm just the momma of a diabetic.  I can't say for sure what caused this abnormally LOW level increase in his blood sugars with any more certainty than I can say what causes him to go through the roof.  It could be a fluke.. It could be because the planets are aligned in his favor, or it is a day that ends with the letter "Y".   Or it could be that Plexus Slim is actually having a positive effect on his blood sugars, just like it was originally intended to do!

Week one, done!

I started Plexus on a Tuesday, so today marks a full week.  So far, so good.. The scale didn't move today, but considering what I had for dinner last night (hotdogs and beans... not a stellar choice, I know) I am not really surprised. Can you say sodium overload?  I am also walking a LOT, and FAST, enough that my legs are sore, and I know muscle, inch for inch, weighs more than fat, so can we all agree that I may be putting some muscle back on??  Pretty please? :)

I still cannot get over the lack of heartburn.  I know I mentioned it before, but seriously, this is a great side effect!! I was very used to popping a Zantac or some equivalent every night.  If I didn't, MAN, I would pay later in the night! The only issue I have had was the day I took my Accelerator with out any food.. I now fully understand why they say take it with food!

I am also a lot more willing (able??) to pass by food choices that would derail me... cookies for dessert in the house?? Have not touched one. The left over Peppermint bark I have hanging around hidden from children??  Not really even tempted. (And if you know me and my LOVE for chocolate, you might see how huge this is!)

The water continues to be a challenge, but I found a bottle that holds 24 ounces, and I know I need 4 of them, and I will make it work!

I have read a lot of testimonials from others who are using all the products (The probio is next on my list) and am excited to use my kids as guinea pigs - hearing lots of good outcomes from using the Probio with kids. We all tested positive for Candida yeast, and it will be interesting to see if that is what is keeping the boys a bit unfocused.  As we go, I will keep everyone posted!

Want to learn more??  Go here ---> Pink Drink Shrink

Almost a full week...

I was delighted to see the scale move again today, and I am down a total of 5.5 pounds and have shed 5.5 inches from my waist, hips, bust and thighs.  Lots to go still, but it's all moving toward my goal!!

It is a beautiful day here so I took a 3.5 mile walk.  I have the energy to do this, without feeling all jittery.  In fact, I don't feel jittery at all... I just don't dread doing things like going for a long walk. I also don't feel that I NEED a nap.  Another plus is that my hip, which has bothered me for the last three years, isn't bothering me as much.  It used to be when I would walk long distances, it would ache so badly that I would want to stop. I can still feel it, but it sure didn't stop me!  I am very glad that I live in an urbanized area of this town, because i did have to stop to use the bathroom twice on the walk.. all that water!!

Plexus Pink Drink Shrink

Let the journey begin...

It's a new year, and it is time for a new me! Last week, I started using PLEXUS SLIM, and I am going to chronicle my experiences with this product.  It is my goal to loose a small child worth of weight, and to do it in a way that doesn't make me either crazy or unhealthy.

I had been hearing friends of mine talking about their fantastic results with this product, and it got me very excited, so I signed up as an Ambassador (meaning I can sell the stuff) mostly so that I can get the product at the cheapest price.  I am on day 5 now, and I am already down 5 pounds and 5.5 inches from my hips, bust and waist.  Sure, it is mostly water, and I get that, but it is encouraging nonetheless!

And here's the thing - I feel good!  I don't get hungry, I have energy for my day, my heartburn is gone (I was living on Zantac, but I also quit drinking soda, and that could be the reason I don't need the Zantac daily any more). So far, I am really beyond delighted with this..

Using Plexus is so simple.  It is a mix that I put in with water first thing in the morning, before I have breakfast. It tastes to me just like a cherry tootsie pop.  The first day I even found it to be a little too sweet, and I had added only 12 ounces of water.  I now add 20 and that seems to be perfect for me. Next, when I eat breakfast, and then when I eat lunch, I take the Accelerator.  It boosts energy and metabolism.

The hardest part is there is a water requirement that I am still trying to meet - you are supposed to drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces per day.  I can get close, but I have yet to actually get it all in.  Yes, I run to the bathroom every 20 minutes for part of the morning, but I know after time my body will get used to it.

Other benefits I have noticed.. As I mentioned, no heartburn, and that energy, which are both great... I've also noticed that I feel a lot less bloated than I was before.

They have a lot of products that I am excited to try on both myself, and my kids..  The purpose of this blog is to track how it all goes...
