Sorry - it has been a while...

Life has gotten the better of me lately, and I have not MADE the time to post - I have HAD the time but have chosen other ways to spend that time.. See, I am trying to change how I look at time; of course I HAD the time, or I could have MADE the time, but I chose other activities.. oops..

I am officially three months into this journey.  My scale has not moved in a few weeks, but that's okay.. I know this is not a sprint.. it's a marathon, and I am in it for the long haul.  My body has been at this size for quite a while, so it makes sense to me that a loss of 15lbs could be where my body thinks it should be.  I disagree with my body, but that's okay - I will get the upper hand.

I am still in my smaller size jeans, and I had to return a shirt the other day because it was way too big and boxy on me.  I am able to run three miles, and actually RUN most of that, rather than go out for 3 miles but really walk probably 2.25 miles of that.  I feel amazing, my hair and nails are growing like crazy, and knock on wood, but with all the crud going around, I have gotten 2 tiny colds this winter, each of which lasted like 2 or 3 days.

I mentioned a while back that I would do a product review every now and then, so today's review is for the BIOCLEANSE.  The label says it oxygenates your body and helps rid it of toxins.   I'll be honest.. this whole "oxygenate your body" business sounded fishy to me.. I mean, I know how to breathe, and isn't that getting oxygen into my body?  I started with the BC because of that dang candida yeast business.. the PrBio is killing it off, but it needs to get OUT, you know what I mean?  And the BC is very effective at doing that.. We will leave that discussion there...

So, clearly my bathroom habits are NOT why I wanted to write about the BC.. going back to my running revelations of late.. running has gotten easier.  Like, way easier.  Not that I am going to win any land speed races or sign up for marathons or anything, but I am not getting totally winded when I run.  Not any more, at least.

And then it dawned on me what 'oxygenating your body' really means.. I believe I am not winded and dying out there because my muscles and cells are able to USE what I give them through my breathing.  As a complete aside, I also find I don't yawn nearly as much as I used to!!

I have also been reading up on the other benefits of keeping one's body in a well oxygenated state.. and these include cancer fighting abilities, as those cells thrive in an environment where oxygen is deprived.  I'm not saying BC will allow you to avoid getting cancer some day, but I feel so good using it that I will stay on it, and if that cancer thing is a side benefit, well, then that's an amazing side effect!

One last word - I have had a few friends come to me, concerned because Plexus and their products are not FDA approved.  The FDA does not get into the business of supplements.  They never have.. hopefully they never will.

Why do I say that?  Well, the FDA DID approve of Phen-fen, right? They approved the Dalcon Shield, Actos, Yasmin, thalidomide, and countless others, which have ended up causing grievous harm to those who took the meds.. So while I am thankful the FDA exists to protect us, their stamp of approval is clearly no guarantee that something is safe.
